Lindley Youth Group present Find Me

Find Me PosterThe Lindley Players Youth Group, will be giving their first public performance at the beginning of December.

The group are currently in rehearsals to present Find Me by Olwen Wymark, under the direction of Lindley Players Vice Chairman Peter Hunt:

Find Me tells the story of Verity Taylor, who at the age of twenty was charged by the police with damaging a chair by fire in the mental hospital where she was a patient. Later she was committed to Broadmoor “from where she may not be discharged or transferred elsewhere without permission of the Home Secretary.”

This moving and tender play uses multiple characterisations to investigate in depth the personality of a young girl, to “find” her – and at the same time studies the effects of her behaviour on her family, friends and the officials in whose care she is periodically placed.

The Lindley Players Youth Group meets Sundays 6.30 – 8.00pm at the Playhouse during term time. If you are interested in joining please contact us through the website.
