It was a century of conflict, a century of innovation, a century of progress, and a century of hope. Without doubt the twentieth century was one which irrevocably shaped the world we live in. Now on December 31st 1999, one man who lived through it all looks back on the events, and the journey which led him from a Trinidadian brothel to a circus ring. As he hangs up the red nose and slap shoes for the very last time, the legendary clown Scaramouche Jones tells the incredible story of his life of service, sacrifice and celebration.

Justin Butcher's story has wowed audiences since it was first performed, and has gone on to be regarded as a piece of classic modern theatre around the world. White Cobra are bringing their award winning production to the Playhouse Theatre Whitstable for one night only on February 20th, so roll up roll up and come see the clown!

White Cobra has forged a growing reputation as a performer of high quality distinctive theatre since it was formed in 2012. Two years ago the company's production of Days of Wine & Roses swept the board at the British All Winners Drama Festival in the Isle of Man, winning all four awards on offer including Best Play. Later this year White Cobra is performing at The Edinburgh Festival for the first time.

Scaramouche Jones marks a welcome return to Whitstable for the company which first performed here in 2015 with The Shakespeare Revue.
